Well, I can see this thread becoming a big arguement. But we'll see, I have to say, I like the concept of Vegan/Vegetarian, & I have tried it. But, myself being brought up around red meat/white meat, I couldn't stand it for more than a week. You know how many good foods have meat in them?
But, good on you for being a Veggo!

Did you know that you need to eat bowls and bowls of greens to get the same iron as a steak. I dont agree in being a vege because its unhealthy. Yes they say just take iron tablets etc but most of them dont know that your body doesnt absorb the iron from those tablets(or very minimal amounts). They do absolutely nothing for you, and the same rings true for many other minerals and vitamins. Your body can only absorb the chemicals in certain foods due to the other chemicals present in those foods.

We are born and breed omnivores, its not a choice.

lol, you can replace all the essential amino acids (not sure about other minerals and such) that you miss out on by not eating meat by eating corn and beans

trust me i study nutrition, you can get absolutely EVERYTHING you need, and more from eating a proper vegetarian diet. not saying that one is better than the other.. but they are both perfectly fine.

I respect peoples opinion, however i greatly disagree with those vegetarians that only eat fish. Unlike beef, pork etc. most fish aren't farmed and pretty much all of the worlds fish species are in great decline. Yet we have a great supply of beef, there population is not going to be affected at all.

I find some people can just be attention seekers, with little understanding.
